We now have a new group of 99ers in Colorado Soon we will see this happening everywhere. Politically, the 99ers haven't achieved their aim of extending unemployment benefits beyond 99 weeks. Their plight has been overshadowed by mounting concerns about the growing federal deficit and by arguments that prolonged unemployment payments deter people from taking available jobs.
